Jon Stewart

Last Saturday I attended a show featuring Jon Stewart as well as correspondents, writers, and producers from Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart".

(Jon Stewart is a 9 time Emmy - winning American comedian, satirist, actor, author and producer.)

Now I have to be honest and admit that I haven't made time to see his shows in the few months I have been in the US, but I have heard so much about him & I had good fortune to attend this show at Ohio State University. There was a huge crowd of about 16,000 people to see him - absolutely amazing! I was quite amused, and shocked at the same time, at some of the clips they showed on American politics and the way elections are run at the local level.

Jon Stewart is extremely smart, funny, intelligent and good looking. His show manages to expose a lot of things that don't make sense and they are absolutely blunt and hilarious. No wonder so many students depend on the show for their daily dose of 'whats happening in America'.

Simpsons at State

Mike Reiss, producer of Simpsons was on our campus yesterday. He spoke to us about, I believe, "Simpson's family values" :D

He spoke about himself, his experiences, creation of characters on the show, celebrities on the show, different Universities and theories of proff. on why the show is such a success and a bunch of really irrelevant stuff. He was absolutely hilarious.!! Not a surprise!

The show has been running for 18 years!!!!! Thatz a long time. I think I am going to start watching it again.

Richard Branson does it again!

"SIR Richard Branson has unveiled a mock-up of his Virgin Galactic spaceship, vowing to do his part to make space travel a reality for millions of people.

SpaceShipTwo, a vehicle being built in California's Mojave Desert, has technology that could also be used in aircraft and could eventually allow people to travel between London and Sydney in half an hour, Branson said at a news conference.

... Branson said "$200,000 is obviously still too expensive, but we've got lots of pioneers willing to pay"...

As part of its goal of making space travel more accessible, Virgin Galactic plans to offer group rates and wants to launch a reality television show and a lottery that will offer winners space flights. Virgin Atlantic Airways' frequent flier program also allows members to accrue points toward future space travel."

Richard Branson is amazing! This is so typical of the guy, check the link below :
